Low Pressure Drip System

Your system is set up with two 1000-gallon septic tanks.

The waster leaves the house, enters into the first tank, and then flows into the second tank. On your first tank you'll have an outlet filter. This filter will need to be rinsed off with a garden hose every six months. This filter is located underneath the 24-inch concrete manhole cover, which is next to the 4-inch green PVC pipe with a white cap.

In the second tank on the outside you will have a ½ horse Goulds lift pump with a high water alarm. The pump will lift the wastewater from the tank to the leach field. The purpose of the high water alarm is to notify you if the lift station is not working. In the event that it does sound off, please call Sullivan Septic.

Your leach field is made up of 2-inch perforated pipe with zones. The size of the leach field determines how many zones you will have. The valves for each zone are located underneath the green sprinkler box cover. These zones will need to be switched every three months.

At all times only one zone is to be closed off, and the remaining zones are to be open. You will need to alternate the zone by closing the next zone over and reopening the zone that is closed.
